A reminder that our annual Student Spotlight event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 19th from 8am-11am (periods 1-4). We look forward to having you visit so you can see your scholar shine!

Term two begins a new cycle for attendance and intervention plans. Please make sure your child has a doctor's or parent/guardian note for every absence and makes up any missed work. These notes should be taken by the student directly to the front vestibule of the school and placed in the absence notes bin each day. These notes can also be emailed by the parent to Ms. Ricks, Attendance Secretary, at lricks@mywcps.org.

Wicomico Middle's 1st Quarter Attendance Incentive (Movie Day~"Kung Fu Panda 4") took place today. There were a total of 643 scholars that were eligible to attend (76.8% of our school population). Congratulations to 8th grade students, Isabella Chappell and Maricela Gil Leyva, who successfully auditioned last weekend and gained acceptance to the Wicomico Honors Orchestra! They will proudly represent Wi Middle, playing violin in an all-day rehearsal/masterclass and culminating concert in January, featuring outstanding musicians in grades 8-12 from all the schools in Wicomico County. Great work to both of you!

Today students had the opportunity to participate in our first Career Talk segment "Public Safety and Law Edition" with Trooper First Class Ponder of the Maryland State Police. This event provided students with an exciting opportunity to learn about careers in law enforcement and gain insights from an experienced professional. Students also received donuts and a hot chocolate bar to enjoy during the presentation.
